“Coleshanger folks are fairly bad,” stated Uncle Edward. “They won’t cross water after sunset. Plus they have to be during intercourse by midnight, normally they believe they’ll become turned into baboons and apes. They also worship the flea.”

Written in 1952, Coleshanger can be a funny, whimsical and captivating recount of British village life in the early part of the last century, an account waiting seventy years to become heard, but nonetheless very much the storyplot folks today.
