A large, powerful gray feline, Joe Gray is perfectly content with his remarkable ability to understand and communicate with humans-especially now that he has business. A mysterious accident similar to the one that enabled him to speak and browse has transformed his friend Dulcie aswell. The trouble can be, the cute tabby female not merely hears human phrases, she is convinced them.
