Dear Reader,

Many people have wondered why I’ve been speaking from controversial issues going back few years. They state I’ve never kept political office. I’m not really a constitutional scholar. I’m not an attorney. All I could say to that’s “Guilty as billed.”

It’s true that I’ve hardly ever voted for a budget America cannot afford. I’ve never raised anyone’s taxes. And I’ve never guaranteed a lobbyist anything in exchange for the donation.

Luckily, none of that really matters..LEARNING MUCH MORE about A Even more Perfect Union: WHAT WE SHOULD the People Can Carry out to Reclaim Our Constitutional Liberties Our founding fathers didn’t need a permanent governing class of professional politicians. They needed a republic, in Lincoln’s words, ‘of the people, from the people, and for the people.’ A country where any farmer, small-business owner, manual laborer, or doctor could speak up and make a difference.

I believe that building a difference begins with understanding our amazing founding record, the U.S. Constitution. So that as anyone who has performed brain surgery thousands of times, I could assure you the Constitution isn’t brain surgery.

The founders wrote it for ordinary women and men, in clear, precise, simple language. They intentionally made it short enough to read in one sitting and to carry in your pocket.

We wrote this reserve to encourage every resident to learn and think about the Constitution, also to help defend it from those who misinterpret and undermine it. In our age group of politics correctness it’s especially vital that you defend the Expenses of Privileges, which warranties our freedom to speak, carry arms, practice our religion, and much more.

The Constitution isn’t history-it’s about your daily life in the us today. And defending it really is about what sort of country our kids and grandchildren will inherit.

I hope you’ll enjoy learning about the fascinating techniques the founders established the greatest democracy in history-and the ways that latest presidents, congresses, and courts have threatened that democracy.

As the Preamble says, the goal of the Constitution is to make a more perfect union. My goal is definitely to empower you to help safeguard that union and secure the blessings of liberty.

Sincerely,

Ben Carson
