Madam C. J. Walker was beloved within her community for her philanthropy and expanding the local black YMCA, but she couldn’t did that if she weren’t the initial feminine self-made millionaire and one of the most successful African American companies ever. Blessed Sarah Breedlove, she was the first person blessed free of charge in her family. She married Charles Joseph Walker and became referred to as Madam C. J. Walker, the name she’d later use on her haircare items. After speaking with her brothers, about ABOUT Madam C.J. Walker who had been barbers, and suffering from problems with hair loss, she developed a method that healed scalp infections. This inspired her to start her own line of hair care products to do things such as reduce dandruff, develop longer hair, smooth locks, or prevent hair loss. Her company utilized thousands of door-to-door saleswomen from all around the United States as well as the Caribbean. She supported the African American community by causing a $1000 contribution for a new YMCA building in Indianapolis, financing scholarships for Tuskegee Institute and Daytona Regular Institute for women, and learning to be a patron from the arts in the first many years of the Harlem Renaissance.
