Cole Matthews used to be a violent kid, but a year in exile on the remote Alaskan isle has a method of changing your perspective. After becoming mauled by a Nature Bear, Cole began to heal. He even invited his sufferer, Peter Driscal, to become listed on him in the island plus they became friends.

But now their amount of time in exil is over, and Cole and Peter are proceeding back to the one place they’re uncertain they can handle: high school. Gangs and violence haunt the hallways, and Peter’s limp and talk impediment make him an all natural target. Within a college where hate and stress are getting close to the boiling point, the monster of trend hibernating inside Cole begins to stir.
