When the near future is murder.

After a tumultuous freshman year at Detroit University, Marlow Henry and Sage Farrell anticipate a calm, uneventful summer break.

Not really gonna happen.

Before Marlow can make his blossoming relationship with Dakota official, Sage pulls him into her fresh discovery-a math equation that opens a window with time and space. Then they see a murder.

Destiny pulls them right into a war-torn and deserted version of Marlow’s community where they may be forced to greatly help a rebel group counterattack. The group’s ethics are doubtful and Marlow has a personal reason to distrust the leader. Plus, users of their little community maintain dying.

The problem is more dire and twisted than Marlow and Sage can see right now. No one is usually safe. No-one can become trusted. They don’t even trust each other. How can they save the world, if they can’t save themselves?
