· Steal a JCB in Monaco and result in jail there – twice

· Make enemies having a 6ft 6″ rival who is a dark belt in everything

Since joining the Williams Touring Car team in 1997 it’s zero coincidence that he has had more competition wins than Lewis Hamilton and Stirling Moss, competed in more races than Jenson Button and set the biggest number of fastest laps ever. But it is also no coincidence that he once spent many days in prison in Monaco for stealing a JCB. He’s a guideline breaker who has already established more than his fair share of near-death encounters, drunken escapades and even more. Yet he’s still race.

There is absolutely nothing sensible, predictable or considered about Jason, but this is one way he became a racing legend.
