The daring warrior Macbeth allows himself to bepersuaded by Lady Macbeth, his wife, to slay good Ruler Duncan and seize thethrone of Scotland for himself. Macbeth achieves his ambition, but one murderproves never to be adequate as he frantically attempts to remove all who mightthreaten his ill-gotten power. Descending into paranoia, Macbeth achieves hisambition but ravages his spirit.
