With each day, he develops more and more eager until he meets a vintage geologist with an interesting and surprisingly lucrative offer: to join him on his trip to the depths of Siberia, the largest forest on the planet, and be a ‘dark digger’-one of those who find and excavate mammoth tusks with the purpose of offering them as ivory to the highest bidder.

With nothing very much to lose, our hero agrees, venturing to the edge of the Earth, beyond the borders of civilization and in to the untouched wilderness. There, thousands of miles from home, in a race against the clock prior to the cool seals the ground, he has to face nature, various other diggers, his internal demons and, most of all, the enigmatic ‘Get good at from the Forest’-a prehistoric creature and the foundation of all regional legends, who ferociously protects his domains.
