Lost in Space

Hugh have been taught that, according to the ancient sacred writings, the Dispatch was on a voyage to faraway Centaurus. But he also grasped this was simply allegory for any voyage to spiritual perfection. Certainly, how could the Dispatch move, since its miles and kilometers of metal corridors were all there was of creation? Technology knew the Dispatch was all the world, and as long as the sacred Converter was given, the lamps would continue steadily to glow, the air would flow, and the Creator’s Program about Orphans from the Sky will be fulfilled.

Of course, there were the muties, grotesquely deformed parodies of human beings, who lurked in top of the reaches of the Ship, where gravity was weaker. Were they wicked incarnate, or only a divine check up on the populace, keeping mankind from expanding at night capacity of the Ship to aid?

After that Hugh was captured with the muties and met their innovator (or leaders)-Joe-Jim, with two mind on one body-and learned the true nature of the Ship and its mission between the celebrities. But could he make his people believe him before it had been too past due? Could he make sure they are believe that he should be allowed to take a flight the Ship?
