During the Dark Ages, a thing named Temple slaughtered Gabriel’s family. A man with snake eyes charged him to pursue the assassin wherever he might strike next, and ruin him. Gabriel hardly ever believed he’d be pursuing Temple almost one thousand years later.

Because Temple could be a demon, the person with snake eyes cursed Gabriel with a life long enough to hunt him down. Right now he has found Temple’s scent again. The Caribbean sea can be awash with pirate blood, and in such turmoil the results of any fight is far from certain.
