The only easy day is yesterday. BUD/S (Simple Underwater Demolition/SEAL) schooling is known to be the toughest, meanest, most literally punishing program in the complete US Navy, and a fresh crop of tadpoles possess arrived in Coronado wanting to prove their worth-to make it through Hell Week, and be US Navy SEALs.

Although Izzy prefers assignments away in the “real world,” he’s happy to be an instructor for the existing BUD/S class, because it allows him to invest time aware of his wife, Eden, about Ready to Roll: A Troubleshooters Novella and her lively and lovable extended family.

Eden’s sixteen-year-old brother, Ben, is coping with a new crush and a homophobic bully in his senior high school, but it shortly appears that things are not because they seem.

Meanwhile, Eden’s other sibling (and Izzy’s SEAL teammate and former frenemy) Danny Gillman and his wife Jenn have just had a baby that has colic and cries continuously.

As Ben deals with the type of too-serious senior high school crisis that could involve a body count, and Danny and Jenn juggle a fresh baby, lack of sleep, and postpartum blues, Izzy is intrigued by “Vessel Squad John,” a misfit group of youthful SEAL applicants all named John, including the intriguing young Seagull, his swim friend Timebomb, and Seagull’s nemesis Hans.
