Josef Fritzl was a 73-year-old retired engineer in Austria. He appeared to be living a normal life along with his wife, Rosemarie, and their family-though one child, Elisabeth, had decades earlier been ‘dropped’ to a spiritual cult. Throughout the years, three of Elisabeth’s kids mysteriously appeared in the Fritzls’ doorstep; Josef and Rosemarie raised them as their personal. But only Josef knew the reality about Elisabeth’s disappearance .

For twenty-seven years, Josef had imprisoned and molested Elisabeth in his man-made cellar dungeon, complete with soundproof paneling and code-protected electrical locks.
