Maureen Barnett (3 time Tony nominee Kelli O’Hara) was once a singer renowned around the world. Now though, stuff couldn’t get very much worse. She’s stuck carrying out in dives, her little girl hates her, and she’s dealing with a severe anxious break down that leaves her petrified before large crowds. Potential customers couldn’t look bleaker, when in strolls Amelia Storm (Academy Award winner Shirley Jones), an maturing chanteuse, giving Maureen the ability to see into the long term. Maureen reluctantly accepts and discovers herself haunted by visions of something dreadful taking place to her girl Holly, who’s soon abducted and kept for ransom.

Enlisting the aid of a freshly retired policeman converted private eye called Henry Powell (Emmy winner Ed Asner), Maureen goes on a dangerous trip to get her daughter – and her confidence – back again no matter what.
