The CBS Radio Workshop aired from January 27, 1956, through Sept 22, 1957, and was a revival of the prestigious Columbia Workshop through the 1930s and 1940s. Creator William Froug launched the series using a powerhouse two-part version of Brave ” NEW WORLD ” and booked writer Aldous Huxley to narrate his popular novel. “We’ll never get a sponsor in any case,” CBS vice president Howard Barnes told Time, “so we might aswell try anything.”

This collection contains sixteen dramas starring Alexander Scourby, William Conrad, Parley Baer, Mary Jane Croft, Stacy Harris, Alan Reed, Daws Butler, Virginia Gregg, Ben Wright, Howard McNear, Edgar Barrier, June Foray, Hans Conried, Joseph Kearns, and Jeanette Nolan.
