The CBS Radio Workshop aired from January 27, 1956, through Sept 22, 1957, and was a revival of the prestigious Columbia Workshop through the 1930s and 1940s. Creator William Froug launched the series using a powerhouse two-part version of Brave ” NEW WORLD ” and booked writer Aldous Huxley to narrate his popular novel. “We’ll never get a sponsor in any case,” CBS vice president Howard Barnes told Time, “so we might aswell try anything.”
