The intergalactic adventures of Arthur Dent begin in the first level of the ‘trilogy of five’, Douglas Adams’ comedy sci-fi classic The Hitchhiker’s Instruction towards the Galaxy, read by Stephen Fry.

On 12 October 1979 the most memorable reserve ever to come out of the great publishing corporations of Ursa Small (and Earth) was distributed around humanity – The Hitchhiker’s Guideline to the Galaxy.

It’s an ordinary Thursday night lunchtime for Arthur Dent until his home gets demolished. The Earth follows shortly afterwards to make way for a fresh hyperspace bypass and his best friend offers just announced that he’s an alien. Currently, they’re hurtling through space with nothing but their towels and an innocuous-looking reserve inscribed using the big, friendly phrases: DON’T Stress.
