Produced by Irving Brecher, THE LIFE SPAN of Riley starred William Bendix as Brooklyn-born Chester A. Riley, a family man who proved helpful as an aircraft riveter at the fictional Cunningham Aircraft seed in California. The tales were usually established in the home, cheerfully disrupting lifestyle along with his malapropisms and ill-timed involvement into minor problems. His stock response to every change of fate “what a revoltin’ development that is!” became a popular catch term. Paula Winslowe was Riley’s wife, Peg; John about THE LIFE SPAN of Riley, Collection 1 Dark brown doubled as undertaker ‘Digger’ O’Dell so that as Riley’s co-worker, Jim Gillis; Tommy Make, Bobby Ellis and Scotty Beckett each played the function of Riley’s son, Junior; and Sharon Douglas performed the Riley’s daughter, Babs. Alan Reed (the tone of voice of Fred Flintstone) performed multiple individuals, including Riley’s boss, Mr. Stevenson and Peg’s father.
