It starts when the wealthy Mrs Farrars is available dead of the apparent overdose, one year after the death of her spouse. The villagers of King’s Abbot are suspicious, for regional rumour has it that she poisoned her husband and was deeply in love with Roger Ackroyd. Was it suicide, due to a guilty conscience, or could she have already been murdered? When Ackroyd is available stabbed to death the following time, there is small to be on. Anyone inside your home could be the culprit – Ackroyd’s niece, Flora; Raymond, Ackroyd’s secretary; and even Parker, the butler. The best suspect, however, is normally Roger Ackroyd’s stepson, Paton, who has vanished and may have gambling bills. Luckily, one of the newest citizens of King’s Abbott, that has retired to the town to cultivate marrows, is certainly none apart from the redoubtable Monsieur Hercule Poirot… This ingenious mystery is taken to life with a complete ensemble including John Woodvine, Diana Olsson and Deryck Guyler.
