Union army official Cameron Scott is used to getting obeyed, but nothing at all about this journey to Lake Tahoe has truly gone as expected. He’s come to fetch his girl and nephew, and seek revenge over the people who killed his brother. Instead he discovers himself trapped by a blizzard with two kids who are terrified of him and persistent but gorgeous Gwen Harkness, who he concerns may be endeavoring to keep the children. When risk descends in the cabin where they’re huddled, Cam is usually hurt trying to protect everyone and today finds Gwen looking after him too. He quickly realizes why the youngsters love her a lot and wonders if it might be greatest for him to move on without them. When she views his broken heart, Gwen decides to greatly help him win back their affection–and in the process he might simply win her center as well.
