Tony Bennett took his place at the forefront of pop music when he recorded “We Left My Center in San Francisco” in 1962. Despite getting trained in art, Bennett made a decision to pursue a profession in music that included a stint like a singing waiter.

Bennett spoke with Wink Martindale in August of 1972 approximately his accomplished profession that included several awards, honors and hit singles. He discusses his several hit songs through the entire 1950s and beyond. While he sang some modern songs, Bennett by no means delved into rock and roll and always stayed true to his exclusive singing style.
