Within this riveting political theatre, Sara, along with her German husband Kurt, returns towards the opulent Washington DC mansion of her mother Fanny after years apart in Europe. With Hitler and Mussolini presuming full power, Kurt sees himself blackmailed for his anti-Fascist actions as the turmoil in European countries crosses the hearth of the tranquil home.
