Uncertainty plagues Azeroth’s ancient guardians because they struggle to look for a new purpose. This dilemma has strike Kalecgos, youngest from the previous Dragon Aspects, specifically hard. Having dropped his great forces, how can he-or any of his kind-still change lives in the globe?

The answer is based on the distant past, when savage beasts called proto-dragons ruled the skies. Through a mystical artifact found near the center of Northrend, Kalecgos witnesses this violent era and the stunning history of the initial Aspects: Alexstrasza, Ysera, Malygos, Neltharion, and Nozdormu.

In their many primitive forms, the near future protectors of Azeroth must stand united against Galakrond, a bloodthirsty creature that threatens the lifestyle of their competition. But do these mere proto-dragons encounter such a horrific adversary only, or did an outside force help them? Were they provided the strength they would become renowned for…or did they earn it with blood?
